A final day in Zhengzhou

Chase Gohl's last day in Zhengzhou comes after two years living and working in China as an English teacher. As he packs, he talks through the mixed feelings of leaving and the memories he has recorded along the way. His vlogs were a personal project: he wanted to preserve his daily life and share his story, not make money from it.

The video recalls familiar routines, especially meals at his favorite chicken-and-rice restaurant, and the friendships he made in Zhengzhou. These ordinary moments are part of what makes the departure difficult. Chase is also glad to have documented the experience, since he can revisit the recordings later.

The trip home and what comes next

Before his flight to Dallas, Chase plans to spend a week traveling through Shanghai and several other Chinese cities. The trip gives him a chance to see more of the country before leaving. He mentions the practical challenge of traveling with several bags, but remains eager to begin this final journey. He has 70 vlogs prepared to share with his audience. The farewell is both a close to his two years in Zhengzhou and the start of a new chapter back in America. The departure also means leaving behind the routines he has built over those two years, not only the larger travel plans. His packing and reflections place the upcoming flight in the context of a longer stay, while the Shanghai trip gives him one more week to travel before returning to Dallas.
