From strange cliff side buildings to dark burial caves locals refuse to enter, this adventure took me to some of the most wild and undocumented parts of China. It was a trip filled with remote hiking, exploring China's rural villages and it's incredible history. At Yelang Valley, an artist's reimagining of the lost Yelang Kingdom (3rd century BC) offers a bizarre glimpse into a vanished civilization. Josh then visits a 600-year-old village, where he encounters a dance competition celebrating the first day of spring.
The finale involves negotiating with Communist Party leaders for permission to film a 700-year-old temple on a razor-thin mountain peak.
