After growing up on council estates in the surrounding areas of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, I wanted to see just how similar council estates in China were. When you go to the backstreets of cities and towns in China, you meet some of the most wonderful, genuine hard-working people you will ever meet; the same goes for the UK. The mega skyscrapers and modern cities are built upon working-class people and their culture. Big up the Percy Main massive. The video offers glimpses into daily life, from a heartwarming encounter with a kind local who gifted him something to exploring a Chinese corner shop and observing an old man preparing beef stew. It's a heartwarming and insightful exploration of unexpected cultural commonalities.
