Danyang's Glasses City & Shanghai Shop Opening

Join us this week as we take a road trip from Shanghai to Danyang, Jiangsu to visit the Glasses City. Hop on board as we indulge our taste buds in the aromatic noodles and foods of Danyang before exploring the five floored mall dedicated to all things glasses and eye health. After 4 years of wearing the same glasses (infrequently oops) I have conceded to becoming a full time glasses wearer and what better place to get my eyes tested than the famous glasses city?! It may be daunting figuring out how to get your eyes tested if you're an expat or student living in Shanghai but you can pretty much walk into any glasses shop and ask for an eye test. Danyang is definitely the cheapest place to do this with the fastest turn around for getting your glasses made too.

After driving back to Shanghai we catch up with friends for a relaxing cafe dinner in Songjiang. Once again I visit Korea town with friends for my favourite Korean BBQ and try the delicious toasted marshallow coated ice cream that the bustling street vendors have to offer.

Recently, my best friend Eva has opened a shop on Anfu Road in downtown Shanghai. This street is a well know photography street famous for its high end fashion boutiques and vintage stores. I feel so blessed to have been able to help Eva move into the space, set up furnishing, check out the stock, and attempt to assemble to custom sofa. I always took pleasure in watching shop update vlogs and videos of others setting up their businesses.
