On Day 2, we head south towards Mt Jinfoshan amongst the Dalou Mountains of Southern Chongqing. As we were whisked about 2000m into the highlands by buses and ropeways, the weather proved feisty, but the views of the mist-swathed terrain were incredible. We brave the snow and sleet whilst sight-seeing around the freezing mountaintop area, including "Gufodong": a large ancient cave with a natural Buddha statue.
At the end of the day we spent a bit of time at Tianxing Old Town admiring the lights, before journeying to the neighbouring district of Wulong for the night.
