Uri Máté's China adventure takes an unexpected turn as he steps out of a Mongolian-themed hotel room in the middle of rural Hubei. After an overwhelming day at a Mongolian theme park, he is ready for something simpler: a beautiful mountain climb. But as he quickly discovers, nothing in rural China is ever just simple. The day begins in a picture-perfect village where summer is apparently a permanent Christmas season. Santa figurines, a Christmas-themed couch, and Village Bucks Coffee set the tone for a delightfully surreal morning. There is even a fake hot air balloon, a fake cow in a fake rice field, and an abandoned vending machine. In Uri's words, these villages are like a random generator.
