Stuck At China's Border - Not Allowed To Enter (#202)

China, China, China. A country I know fairly well, as I lived there for more than 6 years. But we were trying to enter a part of China I had never visited, and one that was still fairly mysterious to me: Xinjiang, the home of the Uyghurs. Being that I was on a trip where I would only cross land borders from Europe to Asia, I would have to do the same crossing from Kyrgyzstan into China. But this wasn't the simplest border to cross. It was extremely remote, and there were few details available online on whether foreigners could even cross the border at all. As always, there was only one way to find out.
