Next, the Beijing City Library, opened in late 2023, stuns with its 16-meter-tall book columns and a main reading hall that resembles a futuristic airport. It can hold 8.4 million books and 2,400 readers. Finally, the Chonguka bookstore in Zibo, Shandong, offers a dreamlike experience with mirror ceilings, curved bookshelves, and a nine-floor pagoda containing a bar with city views.
