Ludwig and his travel companion are on a chaotic motorbike journey trying to escape Yunnan and head north toward Beijing. They get pulled over by Chinese police for being foreigners, have to navigate by asking locals and following blue road signs, and constantly second-guess whether they're going the right way. After a disappointing detour from a planned hot spring, they end up at a nearly abandoned tourist resort called Goosan, where they seem to be the only guests. The duo tries local street food—including surprisingly good stinky tofu with hidden meat inside—and marvels at the empty construction around them. They share genuine moments of bonding, admitting the trip would be unbearable solo. The episode ends with them discovering a 10-year-old magazine that reveals a hot spring was always just up the road, adding a bittersweet humorous note to their misadventure.
