Join us as we sail down the Li River on a scenic river cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo in China. We started the day early by having breakfast at our Hotel before getting a taxi to take us to the docks to catch our boat down the river to Yangshuo. At the cruise terminal we pick up our tickets that we pre-booked and then waited for our boat to depart. The boat that we travelled on was a 4 star cruise, the difference between a 3 star cruise and a 4 star cruise is the 4 star has half the people on (80 people compared to 160 people), more comfortable chairs and a buffet lunch instead of a ready meal. The boat passes some of Guilin's most famous scenic spots and offers a spectacular view of the unique karst landscape. We spend most of the cruise on the top deck admiring the amazing views before arriving in Yangshuo. At Yangshuo we get a taxi to take us to our hotel where we will be staying for the next 2 nights, the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat. We spend the rest of the evening at the hotel sitting on the balcony looking at the river below us before getting dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
