We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15. We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27. In this video, Reanne and Ben take their family—sister, brother-in-law, and two young nieces—on their very first day in China, specifically in Chengdu. The day begins with a tour from New Trip Panda, a local company that picked them up in a luxury EV car. The family visits the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, but this time they use the new, secret entrance recommended by their guide, Nick. Unlike their previous visit where they saw only two pandas and waited hours, this time they see over a dozen pandas up close, including playful cubs in a theater-like setting. Nick explains that pandas are naturally lazy because their bamboo diet lacks nutrition, and he shares insights about China's compulsory education, free water in hotels, and the government-fixed pricing for attractions. After the panda base, they head to a traditional Sichuan restaurant for hot pot, complete with a face-changing performance. The family is delighted by the food, the hospitality, and the constant gifts given to the children. The kids even declare they love China more than Thailand.
